Dr. Cornish is always accepting new patients. At your new patient visit you can expect us to sit down with you in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss what you would like to accomplish with your dental health and smile. We will listen to you and address your questions, concerns, goals and fears. The new patient exam is designed to meet your needs and help you with a treatment plan that you are comfortable with. After discussing your wishes, we will proceed with the appointment you scheduled. We recommend x-rays, a periodontal exam, regular cleanings for optimal dental health and to prevent potential cavities and gum disease.

We recommend:

X-RAYS

We recommend a full mouth set of xrays every 3-5 years. These show the root tips, the bone levels around your teeth, and any cavities or lesions. It is the best way to do a thorough exam and to check for decay between your teeth.

Periodontal Exam

The hygienist will do this exam to check for any signs of gum disease. If he/she has any concerns about your gum exam, they will discuss it with you. Gum disease affects approximately 80% of the population and is also associated with other health risks.

Professional cleaning by a Registered Dental Hygienist

By having your teeth cleaned on a regular basis you can avoid problems with gum disease and decay with early detection.

Exam

Dr. Cornish will meet with you and discuss your questions and concerns. He will review your xrays and do an oral exam. He will then discuss andy treatment recommendations and how you would like to proceed.
